Southwold brewer Adnams has announced the departure of marketing director Steve Curzon.

Mr Curzon, who joined Adnams in 2004 as head of marketing, will leave the cdompany at the end of March.

“Steve has been instrumental in developing the Adnams brand, most notably in strengthening our Beer from the Coast campaign and through the development of new products such as Adnams' Explorer, Yuletide and most importantly, Spindrift,” said managing director Andy Wood.

“Steve has also played a central role in building an award-winning social and environmental platform, which has in turn enhanced Adnams's reputation.

“He has been a great ambassador for this business and it is with our very best wishes that Steve moves on from Adnams, leaving us well prepared for future growth.”

Mr Curzon said: “Adnams is such a great brand and developing it to achieve the level of consumer recognition it now enjoys has been extremely rewarding.

“The Beer from the Coast campaign is now recognised as the one of the most well known in the industry.

“Taking the Adnams brand into retail through the development of the Cellar & Kitchen stores has opened up new opportunities for growth.

“It's a fantastic team across the business and I leave Adnams with great pride and sense of achievement. I will always be a fan!”

Mr Curzon was appointed to the board as marketing director in 2005.
