THE funeral service took place at Our Lady Star Of The Sea RC Church, Lowestoft on October 1 followed by the burial in Kirkley Cemetery for Miss Stella Mary Brooks who died on September 18 aged 93.

THE funeral service took place at Our Lady Star Of The Sea RC Church, Lowestoft on October 1 followed by the burial in Kirkley Cemetery for Miss Stella Mary Brooks who died on September 18 aged 93.

Father Brendan Moffatt officiated.

Mourners were, Christopher Brooks, Janet Brooks, Keith Catling, Mary Catling, Freda Brooks, John Brooks, Greg Brooks, Ruth Mortimer, Thomas Brooks, J Palmer, Mr and Mrs David West, Stella M. Brundell, Ann Webster, Keith Webster, M Everitt, John and Franky Sayer, Mrs Jenny Dowsen, Lilian O'Brien, John O'Brien, Mrs Miriam Perry, Peter and Margaret Thomas, Michael and Ann Sims, Paul Blythe, Jean Smith, Faith-Marie Risebro, Eva O'Reilly, Peggy Cumby, Kathleen Wilton, H C Earley, Wyn McFaull (also representing F W McFaull), M Gibson, Mary Nicholls, Beryl Edwards, Tony and Pat Walmsley, Mary O'Dwyer, Mrs P Reynolds.

Unavoidably absent were: Dr Elizabeth Catling, Dierk Widmann, Ian Catling (USA) and Fr Tony Sketch.

Floral tributes were: In loving memory of a dear aunt, Christopher, Janet and family, Mary Keith and family, Anne and family, Freda (sister-in-law). Dear auntie Stella, God bless, love from Danny, Clare-Mia and James. With deepest sympathy, you will be sadly missed, from everybody at Lilac Lodge and Lavender Cottage.

The family wishes to thank all relatives and friends for their kind expressions of sympathy, and donations being accepted for Our Lady Star Of The Sea Church (Flower Fund) c/o Critoph & Crowe 49-55 Lorne Park Road, Lowestoft, NR33 0RB. Special thanks to Stella's nieces Anne West, Mary Catling and all staff at Lilac Lodge Oulton Broad, for their devoted care of Stella these last two years, to Janet Brooks for bringing holy communion to Stella from mass on Sundays and to Father Brendan for his visits and for conducting Stella's requiem mass and funeral rites, Stella's nephew Chris Brooks who helped with the arrangement asks that all please accept this as the only but most sincere acknowledgment.

Funeral arrangements were by Critoph and Crowe, 49-55 Lorne Park Road, Lowestoft.
