Motorcyclist dies near Lowestoft

A MOTORCYCLIST has been killed on the town's roads this morning following a collision with a van.

The crash happened at about 7.30am in Cooke Road, Gisleham, near Lowestoft when a van and motorbike collided.

The crash happened at about 7.30am in Cooke Road, Gisleham, near Lowestoft when a van and motorbike collided.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene and a spokesman for Suffolk police said the road was closed while initial investigations got underway and for motorists to expect delays in the area.

Officers were expected to be able to give out more information later today.
