THE funeral service was at Gorleston Crematorium on Wednesday, December 19, for Albert Besford, who died peacefully at Lowestoft Hospital on Wednesday, December 12, aged 83.

The Rev Robert Soanes officiated and Standard Bearers were from the Royal Naval Patrol Service Association.

Mourners included Rosina Besford, Sue Besford and Brian Besford. The chapel was full despite the short notice and the apologies of the many who were unable to attend.

The funeral included Andrea Bocelli's “Time To Say Goodbye,” and a short poem, an extract of which is “I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways, of happy times and laughing times and bright, sunny days.”

Special thanks to the Rev Robert Soanes for his kind support and to the many mourners who attended.

Will everyone please accept this as the only and very sincere acknowledgment. Funeral arrangements were by Anglia Co-operative Funerals who are accepting donations on behalf of MacMillan Cancer Support at James Paget Hospital.
