THE funeral service took place at St Mark's Church, followed by interment in Kirkley Cemetery on January 29 for Alfred Hugh Palmer of Lowestoft who died on January 14 aged 87.

THE funeral service took place at St Mark's Church, followed by interment in Kirkley Cemetery on January 29 for Alfred Hugh Palmer of Lowestoft who died on January 14 aged 87.

The Rev Ian Bentley officiated.

Mourners were, Mrs Vera Palmer, Mrs Diane Goodman and Russell Blowers, Mr Terry Palmer and Mrs Janet Palmer, Miss Lisa Cook and Mr Shaun Cook, Mr Glen Palmer and Mrs Joanne Palmer, Mrs Margaret Colby and Mr Raymond Colby, Mrs Marilyn Rayment and Mr Roy Rayment, Mrs Eddie Colby, Mrs Francis Colby, Mrs Alice Colby and Mr Barry Colby, Mr Peter Challis and Mrs Beryl Challis, Mr Robert Hurry and Mrs Pat Levy, Miss Paula Rayment, Dr S Krishnaswarny, Mrs Lorna Millard.

Unable to attend were: Mrs Claire and Murray Wiblin (New Zealand), Mrs Nora Bowman and Robert Bowman, Mr Don Palmer and Mrs Brenda Palmer, Mr Royston Palmer and Mrs Debbie Palmer.

The family of Mr Alfred Hugh Palmer wish to thank all relatives and friends for their many kind expressions of sympathy, beautiful floral tributes and donations received. Donations for Alzheimer's Society are still being accepted c/o R Rivett Ltd, 15 Carlton Road, Lowestoft, Suffolk, NR33 0RU.

Special thanks to the doctors at the Andaman Surgery, staff at the Gwen Baker Unit at Lowestoft Hospital and Rev Ian Bentley for the service and kindness.
