THE funeral service took place at the Salvation Army Chapel, Lowestoft, followed by interment in Kirkley Cemetery on Monday, December 17, for Mr Alfred Pavey of Lowestoft, who died on December 8, aged 88.

THE funeral service took place at the Salvation Army Chapel, Lowestoft, followed by interment in Kirkley Cemetery on Monday, December 17, for Mr Alfred Pavey of Lowestoft, who died on December 8, aged 88. Capt Andrew Stone officiated.

Mourners were: Graham and Sharon Pavey, Irene Duggan and Michael Lennox, Stephen and Lynne Pavey, Kara Saunderson, Kallum Saunderson, Julie Duggan, Michael and Karen Gooderham, Adam Pavey and Alison Collyer, Luke and Georgina Pavey, Ben Pavey and Harriet Goldstone, Leyna Pavey and Aaron Brooksbank, Roland and Mary Crosby, Gary Crosby, Win Rice, Peter and Kath Rushmere, Jayne and Pasco Zavanaiu, Mr and Mrs T Bullard, Ivan and Lettie Bullard, Peter Bullard, Joyce and Stan Lawn, Mr K Lawn, Bob and Anji Lawn, Michael and Janet Green, Mr and Mrs J Aldred, Sheila Sustins, Joyce and David Ward, Mr and Mrs P Watson, Joe Duggan, Barbara Smith (also representing Percy Harvey), John Bushell (Alan Bushell), Peter Bushell, Linda Normanton, Mrs B Codling, Mr and Mrs Harper, Doreen Airley, E Thompson (RNA), Derek Monument (Royal Marine Association), Alf Muffett (RBL Beccles Branch), Leo Whissock (Royal Naval Patrol Service Association), John Williamson (RNA Beccles), Duchy Holland (RNA), Mike Parsons (RNA Beccles), J Ewins (RNA), Paul Guy, Emma Guy. Many other friends and colleagues also attended.

Unable to attend were: Joe and Peggy Pavey (London), Bunny and Jean, Pat Riches, Lorraine Guy.

Funeral arrangements were by R Rivett Ltd, 15 Carlton Road, Lowestoft, Suffolk NR33 0RU. The family of Mr Alfred Pavey wish to thank all relatives and friends for their many kind expressions of sympathy, beautiful floral tributes and donations received. Donations for the Salvation Army are still being accepted c/o R Rivett Ltd, 15 Carlton Road, Lowestoft, Suffolk NR33 0RU. The family would like to give special thanks to Andrew and Alison Stone for the lovely service and their support to the family at this time, standard bearers (Alf would have been so proud), Rivett's Undertakers, especially Peter Rushmere.
