HE funeral service took place at Christ Church, Lowestoft, followed by burial at Lowestoft Cemetery on Wednesday, September 30, for Christopher Russell, who died on Sunday, September 20, aged 63.

Mr Michael Leigh-Pearson and the Rev Matthew Payne officiated.

Mourners were: Margaret Russell (wife), Evelyn Russell (mum), Robert Russell (son), Joy Russell (daughter), Gary Muffett (son in law), Keely, Shannon, Siobhan, Kieron, Emma, Bradley and Chelsea (grandchildren), Paul and Mary Russell (brother and sister-in-law), Adrian and Jeanette Russell (brother and sister-in-law), Brett and Kate Russell (nephew and partner), Jane Russell (niece), John and Rose Russell (uncle and aunt), Kym, Phil, Nick, Olivia, Joshua Russell (cousins), Sylvia and husband, Allen and Anne (cousins), Trish and John Short (cousins), Peter Gooch and Tony Page (cousins), Olive Stanton (cousin), Edna Gooch (aunt), Terry and Evie Swan (uncle and aunt), John Dell (brother-in-law), Marrianne, Jonathan and Donna (nieces and nephew), June and Richard O'Lak (sister in law and brother-in-law), Stephen Dell (brother-in-law), Caroline Dell (sister-in-law), Abbie and Katie Dell (nieces), Patrick Finnigan (brother-in-law), Gordon and Trish Finnigan (nephew and wife), Nina Finnigan and Emily (niece and great niece), Peter Keating (also representing the Keating family), June and John Early, Janet and Kelly Day, Linda and Matthew Lambert, Kev and Roz Rogers, Eric Mitchel, Helen and Gordon Cole, Mike, Manda and Mason Rutty, Alf and Betty Muffett, Derek Muffett, David and Jane Porter, Jo and Wayne Barber, Terri Cain, Tilly, Jess and Amanda Hunt, Rebecca Beamish, Kate Raynsford, Caroline and Sophie Dale, Kate Robinson, Christine Butcher, Linda and Allen Brooks, Kerry Anderson, Julie Ankers, Dylan Evans, Nicky Swan, Brian Kettles, Carla Godbold, Pearl Godbold, Alex, Liam and Kate Walsh, Teresa Vemon, Valerie Friend, Debbie and Tracey (Optua UK). Also attending were many friends and work colleagues from Morton Foods, Birds Eye, RNA and RAOB.

Unable to attend were: Mr David Finnigan and family, Mr James Whatling and family, Mr and Mrs Robert and Kerry Halifax, Alvin Russell, Mrs Dympna Mitchel and Ben Rogers.

The family would like to give heart felt thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at Victoria Road Surgery, JPUH, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, the Macmillan Nurses and to all family and friends for all the support given over the last 18 months. Extended thanks to RAOB (brothers), Michael Leigh-Pearson (RNA Pardre) and Rev Matthew Payne (Christ Church) for their service to celebrate Chris' life.
