THE funeral service took place at Gorleston Crematorium on May 13 for Mr Dennis Frank Lockwood who died on May 2, aged 77.

Immediate family mourners were: Wife Jan, daughter Carol and husband Martin Alexander, daughter Tracey and husband Paul Ayers, son Dave and wife Lisa Lockwood, grandchildren Emma and husband Gary Shilling, Leila and husband Neil Bye, Lee Ayers, Jade Alexander, Ross Ayers, Paige Alexander and Kyle Lockwood.

Unable to attend were: Brother Harry and sister-in-law Sheila Lockwood (Australia) and Jason Hyem.

Immediate family floral tributes were: My darling Denny, no time to say goodbye, I have loved you since we first met when I was just 16, you told me that our love was very special, and it certainly was, we have been so lucky to see our three lovely children settle with their own wonderful families, I will miss you and love you for ever, your beloved wife Jan xxx. For my wonderful dad, who could do and fix everything, what will we do without you? didn't have chance to say goodbye, you went too quickly, but then you did everything quickly! we miss you today and always, love you so much, Carol, Martin and family xxx. Goodnight my lovely dad, miss you so much, thank you for your wonderful love and memories, sleep tight, love you forever, all our love, broken-hearted daughter Tracey, son-in-law Paul and grandsons Lee and Ross xxx. My amazing dad, no words could express how much we love you and will miss you, I am so proud to be your son and can only dream of being half the man you were, we will all miss you so much, Dave, Lisa, Kyle, Ruby and Alex xxx. Dear granddad Denny, we can't believe you're not here anymore, but know you'll be watching over us, we miss you and love you more than words can say, but happy memories of you make us smile every day! sleep tight granddad, love you always, Emma, Gary, Leila, Neil, Jade and Paige xxx. To our brilliant granddad, your loving caring and kind qualities will be missed by us all, thank you for the wonderful memories you have given us, we miss you so much and know you'll still look after us from above, never forgotten, lots of love always Lee and Ross xxx. To a wonderful granddad, Denny, there aren't enough words to say how sad we feel, you'll be in our thoughts forever more and we'll remember all the happy times we spent together, we will miss you so very much and love you always from Kyle, Ruby and Alex xxx. To granddad Denny, we will miss you luv Farron, Caiden and Drew xxx.

The family would like to thank everyone for attending and for the kind words of comfort received. Donations in memory of Dennis for Help for Heroes are still being accepted by Anglia Co-Operative Funerals, Police Station Road, Lowestoft, Suffolk, NR32 1NY.
