THE funeral service for David Spindler of Pakefield took place at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Lowestoft on April 10, followed by committal at Gorleston crematorium.

THE funeral service for David Spindler of Pakefield took place at Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Lowestoft on April 10, followed by committal at Gorleston crematorium.

Father Sketch officiated.

Main mourners were: Faith (Mary) (wife), Elaine (daughter) and Martin, Glen (son) and Beverley, Lisa and Neil (granddaughter), Gavin and Jenni (grandson), Thomas (great-grandson), Mr and Mrs R Spindler, Mr and Mrs I Spindler, Mr R Spindler and Kath, Mrs J Woods, Mr and Mrs J Tripp, Mrs M Spindler, Mr W Brown, Mr and Mrs J Brown, Mr and Mrs P Reynolds, Mr and Mrs J Coble. Also nieces and nephews.

Many more family, friends, colleagues and workmates far too numerous to mention attended the service.

Unable to attend were: Grandaughter Lucy, Mr and Mrs B Spindler and Mr and Mrs P Glover.

Floral tributes were from Mary, Elaine and Martin, Glen, Beverley and Lucy, Lisa and Neil, Thomas, Lolli and Sonny, Gavin, Jenni and Ethan, Pat, John, Brian and Rhona.

Mary and family would like to thank all family and friends for their kindness, help and support during this extremely difficult time, for all the kind expressions of sympathy and cards received. Also thanks to everyone who cared for David during his illness. David touched everyone he knew and will be sadly missed by all.

Special thanks to Father Sketch and also to Lorraine and Staff at Anglia Co-operative Funerals, 1 Terminus Building, Pakefield Street, Pakefield, Lowestoft, Suffolk NR33 1NY for their wonderful service who are still accepting donations for Macmillan Nurses and Ward Five (cheques made payable to JPUH NHS Foundation Trust please).
