THE funeral service took place at Gorleston Crematorium, on September 25, for Donald Victor Seeley, who peacefully passed away on September 16, at Oulton Park Care Centre, aged 85.

Mrs Minnie Ellis of Hopton officiated.

Mourners were, Barbara Seeley (wife), Jeanne and John Beatwell (daughter and son-in-law), Pat and David Pyle (daughter and son-in-law), Laurence Baldry, Suzy Baldry, Louise and Kirsty Thomas-Unger, Rebecca Haggitt, Oliver Beatwell and Clare Burton and Gary Thurtle (grandchildren), John and Claire Seeley, Flossie Buttaress, Peggy and Arthur Tolver, Barry and Carolyn Seeley, Brian and Tina Seeley, Caroline Lemon and Alison Rudd, Steve Unger, Andrew Thurtle, Thelma Thurtle and Ernie Thrower, Janet and Jim Pyle, Alan Pyle and Christina, Janet and John Pearson, Alan Beaumont, Marian Proctor, Janet and Jim Palmer, Sue Hill, Julie Moore, Crystal Guy, Dawn Judge, Joanne Daines, Charlotte Thrower, Caroline De'ath, Mark Castleton and Bob Pennifold.

Unable to attend were: Ben Haggitt, Peter and Mary Seeley, Rex and Ann Scatcherd, Terry and Denise Scatcherd, Jos and Liz Scatcherd, Jimmy Scatcherd, Emily Strong, Edith Bygrave and Donna Hunt.

Floral tributes were: Treasured memories of my dear husband, you will be in my heart and thoughts always, until we meet again, your ever-loving wife Barb XX. In loving memory of a lovely dad and granddad, we were proud to be a part of you and it was so hard to watch you for so long with your illness, rest in peace now dear dad, we will remember all the happy and good times, love you always Pat, Dave, Gary, Rebecca and Ben xxx. Thank you for being the most loving and devoted dad, you were always there for me I will miss you, love you always Jeanne xxx. Dear Don, it has been a great loss without you these past few years, I will always remember the good times we shared, so many memories, you were the best father-in-law anybody could wish for, with love John. Darling grandad, my brave soldier, I can't express how much I love you and miss you, but I know I will see you again, loving you always Suzy xxx. Dear grandad, so sorry you have left us, we will miss you dearly but know mum will be there to take care of you, all our love Louise, Kirsty and Steve xxx. Thanks for all the great memories, you're at peace now, lots of love to our 007 grandad, Ollie and Clare xxx. In loving memory of my dear brother, love John and Claire. Mrs Seeley and family wish to thank relatives, friends and carers for their expressions of sympathy, floral tributes and donations.
