THE funeral service was held at St Edmunds Church, Southwold on Tuesday, January 8 for David Lurkins.

THE funeral service was held at St Edmunds Church, Southwold on Tuesday, January 8 for David Lurkins.

The Rev Caroline Hallett officiated.

Mourners were Mrs Jean Lurkins (wife), Karen and Michael Robertson (daughter and son-in-law), Christine Lurkins (daughter-in-law), Jennie Lurkins, James Lurkins and Cathy Robertson (grandchildren), Margaret Kent (sister), Raymond and Pam Lurkins (brother and sister-in-law), Geof and Janice Lurkins (brother and sister-in-law), Milly Mower (sister-in-law), Peter Mower, David Mower, Sonia Pettican, Sheila Kent, Philip and Maree Lurkins, Jake Lurkins, Alison Mcewen, Clare Straford (nieces and nephews).

Gary Lurkins and Jackie Poteous were unable to attend.

Also attending were many other family members, friends, acquaintances, representatives from the Lions International and the Guiding Association.

Jean and Karen would like to thank St Edmunds Church Choir especially Rachel for singing the solo, Rev Caroline Hallett for a lovely service and all her help and support, the Sandra Chapman Centre and Ward 17 for all their care and support over the last seven years, donations to which are still being accepted (cheques payable to JPUH NHS Foundation Trust) by Fishers Funeral Service, Field Stile Road, Southwold. Also thanks goes to Fishers Funeral Service for the kind and sympathetic handling of the funeral arrangements.
