THE funeral service took place at Gorleston Crematorium on Monday, October 6 for Eric George Overy, of Lowestoft, who died on September 26, aged 84.

The Rev Roy Wormald officiated.

Mourners were, Maggie and Billy Carmichael (daughter and son-in-law), Trish and Ray Freeman (daughter and son-in-law), Jack and Brenda Overy (son and daughter-in-law), George and Vic Overy (son and daughter-in-law), Jane Overy (daughter), Wendy Smith (daughter), Peter Carmichael, Richard Freeman, Charlotte Brown, Joanne Freeman, Julie Freeman, Lisa and David Moss, Graham Woodcock, Barry Foster, Charlie Atkins, Barbara Cooper, Paul Lunn, Brenda and David Allen, Tony and Stephanie Elmore, Rachael Dodd, Arthur Borrett, Steven Cooke, Angie Virgo-Di-Galloloro, Dick O'Halleron, Andy Nash, David and Hayley Overy, Carol Sutherland, Walter and Margaret Warnes, Wayne Moyse, John Moyse, Rachel Slaven, Anne (also representing Oddfellows), Pat Bircumshaw, Irene Slaven, George Martin, Diane Henry, Doreen Sewell, Trevor Overy, John Overy, Phil Overy, Paul and Jennie Carr, Peggy Carr, Billy Carr, Nigel Carr, Ray Chapman, Theresa Taylor and Martin Warren, Suzanne Rayfield, Vanda Messenger, Jack Wilson, Derek Bardwell.

Eric's family would like to give special thanks to Angie and staff at the Jolly Sailors for their thoughtfulness and kindness towards dad and also special thanks to Dick, David Moss and staff at the Fishermans Wharf for looking after dad in such a wonderful way. Also for the paramedics and police for their support and help at this sad time. Thanks to the Rev R Wormald for the service and Critoph and Crowe for special support and arrangements made.
