THE funeral service took place at St Nicholas Church, Wrentham, followed by burial in Wrentham Cemetery, of Eric James (Jim) Warby, who died on January 17, aged 83.

THE funeral service took place at St Nicholas Church, Wrentham, followed by burial in Wrentham Cemetery, of Eric James (Jim) Warby, who died on January 17, aged 83.

The Rev Leonard Payne officiated at the service.

Mourners were: Steven and John (sons), Sandra and Kim (daughters), and their partners (Sarah and Kevin), grandchildren Abbie, Daniel, Tyler and Darcy. Family in attendance were: Samuel Plant, Peter Plant, Dick and Kilda Plant, Margaret and Bill Aston, Lillian and Derek Kett, Jean Fairhead. Lisa and Jack Bridge sent apologies for an unavoidable absence.

To my dad, thank you for all the love and support you have given me and my girls throughout the years. I feel privileged to have had such a wonderful man for my dad, so RIP now, God bless, love you, take care of mum for me, forever in my heart, love Kim. To our dad, a permanent place in our hearts, love Sarah and John. To our grandad, always in our hearts, love Jessica and Henry. Dear grandad you will be missed very much but will always be in our thoughts, we will love you always, Daniel and Abbie. Son John, on behalf of the family, would like to thank the staff of Southwold Hospital, and especially thanks to the staff of Ward One, James Paget Hospital, for taking such good care of his father during his last few hours, and to Sarah, his home help, and everyone else who helped and supported him throughout his illness.

He would also like to thank everyone concerned for their kind words of sympathy, cards and letters at this sad time.
