THE funeral service took place at Kirkley Cemetery Chapel followed by burial in Kirkley Cemetery on Friday, December 7 for Mr Gordon Cyril Woodcock of Lowestoft, who died on November 24, aged 92.
THE funeral service took place at Kirkley Cemetery Chapel followed by burial in Kirkley Cemetery on Friday, December 7 for Mr Gordon Cyril Woodcock of Lowestoft, who died on November 24, aged 92. The Rev Ian Bentley officiated.
Mourners were, Mrs Stella Woodcock (wife), Mr Paul Woodcock (son), Mrs Tina Durrant (daughter), Miss Joanna Durrant (granddaughter), Mrs Sybil Woodcock, Mr Keith Woodcock, Mr and Mrs Ian and Ruth Woodcock, Mr Stephen Woodcock, Mr and Mrs Terry and Jennifer Doddington, Mr and Mrs John and Elizabeth Smith, Mr and Mrs Richard and Jill Smith, Mrs Pat Briggs, Mrs Margaret Clarke, Mr and Mrs Robert and Janet Long, Mrs Jeannette Tyrrell (also representing Mr Simon Tyrrell), Mrs Mirium Powell (David, Julie and families), Mr Pip Smith (Mrs Sue Smith), Mrs Peg Nicholson, Mr Gerald Vincent (ECW), Mr Brian Batchelor (ECW, Mr John Whelan ECW). Unavoidably absent were Mrs Beverley Woodcock, Mr and Mrs Gordon and Brenda Daplyn, Mrs Pauline Thompson.
Floral tributes were: Treasured memories of my wonderful husband Gordon. Thanks for 67 years of marriage, you will always be remembered, and the thoughts and memories of you cherished for ever. Missing you, sleep peacefully, till we meet again, your loving wife Stella, xxx. In loving memory of a special dad, and my best mate. Thanks for everything you've done. You will always be in my thoughts, and the days will never be the same again. Missing you so much, rest in peace dad we will all be together soon, your loving son Paul. Thank you for everything dad. Miss you, love Tina. To a wonderful Grandad, love Joanna. In loving memory of a dear brother-in-law. Happy memories of Gordon, love Sybil, Keith, Bev, Laura and Chloe.
