THE committal service took place at Gorleston Crematorium on Thursday, March 12, followed by a thanksgiving service at St Margaret's Church, Lowestoft, for John Alan Turvey, who died in Lowestoft Hospital on February 21, aged 86.

Cannon John Simpson and Pastor Morris Baldrey officiated.
Mourners were: Pam Turvey (wife), Jennifer and Stephen Tinsley-Marshall (daughter and son-in-law), Heather and Graham Love (daughter and son-in-law), Paul Tinsley-Marshall and Alex Lord (grandson and girlfriend), Sarah Tinsley-Marshall (granddaughter), Mark Tinsley-Marshall and Sarah Boustead (grandson and fianc�e), Amy Platt (granddaughter), Adam Fisk (grandson), Laura Fisk (granddaughter), Mr Norman Turvey (brother), Mr Michael Fisk, Mrs L Jeffries, Mrs A Fletcher, Mr and Mrs G Foulger, Mr and Mrs K Jeffries, Mrs K Punt, Mr M Jeffries, Mr C Jeffries, Mr R Jeffries.
Many other numerous friends, neighbours and former colleagues from Brooke Marine attended.
