THE funeral service took place at St Marks Church, Oulton Broad followed by committal at Gorleston Crematorium on Wednesday March 25 for John Frederick Mott (ex chief inspector), aged 72.

THE funeral service took place at St Marks Church, Oulton Broad followed by committal at Gorleston Crematorium on Wednesday March 25 for John Frederick Mott (ex chief inspector), aged 72.

The Rev Marilyn Zipfel officiated.

Mourners were: Beryl Mott (wife), Nigel Mott (son) also representing Cheryl Mott and Emily Mott daughter in law and granddaughter, Nicola and Richard Jenkinson (daughter and son in law), Paul and Thelma Gumbert, Jean and Peter Whymark, Robert Hicks, Beryl and Dennis Whent, Sheila and Malcolm Wright, Robert Mott, Roy and Angela Mott, Louise and Colin Clarke, Linda and David Futter, Marian Brogan, Nigel Ward, Acting chief inspector Ian Moore (Suffolk Constabulary), Sgt Nigel Tomsett (Lowestoft Police), representatives of the RAF Regiment Association Norfolk branch.

The church was full to capacity with colleagues, friends and neighbours far to numerous to mention, but Beryl and the family wish to thank all for attending. Special thanks go to Dr Bigg and the nurses at Victoria Road Surgery, Hospice at Home carers, Home First Carers and Marie Curie Nurses for their dedication and support. Beryl would also like to thank her wonderful neighbours and friends for their support and love throughout John's illness. Thank you also to the Rev Marilyn Zipfel for her support and a lovely service, and to Anglia Co-operative funerals for their kindness.
