THE funeral service took place at St Mark's Church, Oulton Broad on July 2, for Leslie Frank Beamish (Les), of Oulton Broad, who died at the James Paget University Hospital on June 22, aged 86.
THE funeral service took place at St Mark's Church, Oulton Broad on July 2, for Leslie Frank Beamish (Les), of Oulton Broad, who died at the James Paget University Hospital on June 22, aged 86. The Rev Robert Soanes officiated.
Family mourners were: Mrs K Studd (daughter) and Gordon, Mr J Beamish (son) and Christine (daughter-in-law), Mr R Studd (son-in-law), Mrs C Beamish (daughter-in-law), Mrs T and Mr S Pitcher, Mr and Mrs K Beamish, Mrs C and Mr S Sturgeon, Mr K Beamish, Mr and Mrs D Brewster, Miss H Studd (grandchildren), Miss L Pitcher (great-granddaughter), Mrs B Skinner, Mrs N Varden (also representing Mr C Varden) (sisters), Mr K and Mrs E Smith (Mrs M Brundle) (sister), Mrs K and Mr B Chapman, Mrs N Williams, Mr and Mrs E Beamish, Mrs J Redgrave, Mrs E Wallis, Mr D and Mrs J Newman, Anita and Buster, Mrs P Hadingham, Mr G Silcock (nieces and nephews), Mr T and Mrs P Silcock (sister-in-law), Miss H Mayhew, Mrs G Hoyes, Mrs K James (great nieces), Mr R Bryanton, Mr J Blowers, June and Ivan Green, June and Frank Gower, Ray and Stephanie Studd, Margaret and Fred Holmes, Eva and John Butcher, Frank Mortimer (Oulton Broad and Lowestoft Horticultural Society), Pamela Mortimer, Lorraine Anderson (Stradbroke Court Day Centre), Shelagh Knights, Norah Foskett, Sandra Stone, Mr and Mrs L Pitcher, Sheila Perry, Hazel and Tom Taylor, Mrs Karen Wilkerson (Terry, Martin and Joe), Mr P Burch and Yvonne, Russell Balls, Daphne Sendalls, Miss M Howard, John and Cynthia Thomson, Mr A Breeds and many other friends too numerous to mention. Too young to attend were the many great-grandchildren.
A guard of honour was formed by the Marine Section Air Sea Rescue.
Floral tributes were from family members and Oulton Broad and Lowestoft Horticultural Society.
The family would like to thank all relatives and friends for kind expressions of sympathy. Special thanks to Ivan and June, June and Frank, Rick, John and all members of the guard of honour. To the Rev Robert Soanes for the beautiful service and kind words.
