THE funeral service took place on April 27 at St Margaret's Church, Lowestoft followed by committal at Gorleston Crematorium for Leonard James Turner who passed away at Lowestoft Hospital on April 10, aged 81.

THE funeral service took place on April 27 at St Margaret's Church, Lowestoft followed by committal at Gorleston Crematorium for Leonard James Turner who passed away at Lowestoft Hospital on April 10, aged 81.

The Rev Geoff Wilson officiated and Mr John Farmer was the organist.

Mourners were: Monica Turner (Wife), Richard Turner and Catherine (Son and Partner), Sarah Turner (Daughter), Katherine and Charlotte Turner (Granddaughters), Delphine and George Turner (Brother and Wife), Barbara Oxley (Sister-in-law), Ian Turner (Nephew), Janet and Dick Lane (Niece and Husband), Marc and Jvanzi Oxley (Nephew and Wife), Gillian Gabb, Rev J and Rev C Hodges, Mr and Mrs N Brighouse and Ellen, Mr and Mrs E Hutton, Mr and Mrs M Fermor, Mr and Mrs G Lewis, Mr and Mrs B Key, Rev and Mrs W Jenner, Mrs P Farmer, Mr and Mrs P Rich, Mr and Mrs J Moule, Ms M Lewis and Paul, Mr D Brighouse, Mrs J Richardson, Mr W Brighouse, Mr B Brighouse.

Many other friends and neighbours attended too numerous to mention with representatives from Rookery Park Golf Club, St. Margaret's Masonic Lodge, Hulver Bowls Club, Sequence Dance Clubs, St Margaret's Church and former colleagues from Birds Eye Foods. Unable to attend were Mrs Eunice Stevens and family.

The family wish to thank everyone who attended the service and for all the kind expressions of sympathy and donations received. Our special thanks to all the Staff on Gwen Baker Unit, Lowestoft Hospital for their care during Len's illness, to Rev Geoff Wilson for the lovely service and to Rondor Printing Company for the Order of Service. Thank you to the ladies of St Margaret's Church for their help with the refreshments.
