THE funeral service took place at Gorleston Crematorium, on June 4, for Richard Anthony, Whitehurst Carson, who died at his home in Gorleston, on May 23, aged 52, after a long illness so bravely borne.

Ms Tina Bowden officiated at this service of thanksgiving.

The immediate family mourners were: Fay and Karla (daughters) and Don and Erna Carson (father and stepmother).

Other mourners were: Anna Watson, Shani Hannant, Ann Spandle, Mr and Mrs D Gaines, Stanley Cook, John Walford, Joan Barker, Mr and Mrs B Granger, Scott Granger, Mark Dixon, Jeremy Caborn, John Easter, Mr Walton, Dawn Barber, Lisa Corbett and so many wonderful friends, too many to mention by name.

Unavoidably absent were: Mrs E Collins, Mr and Mrs J Thacker and Mr and Mrs D Watts.

Special thanks to Ms Tina Bowden who conducted the service, Dr K Ekberry for his valued support throughout his illness, the district nurses and the 'Hospice at Home' nurses who attended to Richard's final care with such dedication.

The family wish to thank all relatives and friends for their kind expressions of sympathy, beautiful floral tributes and donations for Hospice at Home, which are still being accepted c/o Arthur Jary & Sons Ltd, 43 High Street, Gorleston, NR31 6RR.
