THE funeral service took place at Gorleston Crematorium, on April 12, for Robin Thrower (Chuck), of Lowestoft, who died on March 22, at James Paget University Hospital, aged 73.

The Crematorium was filled with many friends and colleagues from both Sparrows Nest and Somerleyton Bowls Club members and ex work colleagues from both Clowes of Beccles Printing Works and Clays at Bungay, also many other friends too numerous to mention attended.

Unavoidably absent were: Miss Asher Coleman, Mrs A Holland, Mary, Christine and Johnathan Broad (Canada) and Anita and Alwyn (Cardiff).

The family of Mr R 'Chuck' Thrower wish to thank all relatives and friends for their kind expressions of sympathy and donations for the two charities. Special thanks to neighbours for their gift of a tree to be planted in Chucks memory, also to Val Burgess for a wonderful service. A special thanks to the paramedics who attended Chuck and to Linda for all her help. Also thanking Margaret and friends for the wonderful buffet and thanks to the Ex-Serviceman's Club for their hospitality.
