THE funeral service took place at Gorleston Crematorium on Monday, May 12 for Ronald Bennett (Ron) who passed away at Lowestoft Hospital on Friday, April 25, aged 90.

THE funeral service took place at Gorleston Crematorium on Monday, May 12 for Ronald Bennett (Ron) who passed away at Lowestoft Hospital on Friday, April 25, aged 90. Captain Paul McDonough officiated.

Family mourners were Jill Bennett (widow), Sandra and Chris Shields (daughter and son-in-law), Megan (also representing Liam, grandchildren), Trevor and Amanda Bennett (son and daughter-in-law), Tabitha and James (grandchildren), Janet and John Pearson (daughter and son-in-law), Michael Bennett (nephew), Keith Bennett (nephew) and Hazel, Monica Hall (niece), Mr and Mrs Peter Youngs (nephew), Elizabeth Ellis (niece), Louise Smith (niece) and Ian Thompson.

Other mourners were Ann Fletcher, Pam Hosler, Olive Aldred, Beryl and Dennis Howe, Ray Smith, Carol and Vic Inghan, Nicola Smith, Carolyn Johnson, Donna Hindes, Angela Hinson, Mrs D Pearson, Vince Parker, Denis Cullum, Jack Jillings, Tony Shields, Kath and Mic Moore, Michael Pearson, Derek Tyrrell, Betty and Bernard Hitter, John Walpole, Mr and Mrs M Mitchell, Brian Ratcliffe, Chris and Edna Howlett, Kenneth Borrett, Alan Chilvers, Mr and Mrs C Swan, Carol and Peter Shankster also representing Bill Swan, Belinda Burroughes and Rageena Joseph. Unable to attend were: Mr and Mrs J Dale, Mr and Mrs A Shand and Stephen Bennett (grandson).

The family of the late Ron Bennett would like to thank everyone for their cards and messages of condolences and to all who attended at Gorleston Crematorium.
