THE funeral service took place at St Edmunds Church, Kessingland followed by committal at Gorleston Crematorium on August 4 for Mr Stanley Frederick Lawrence of Kessingland who died on July 19, aged 93 years.

THE funeral service took place at St Edmunds Church, Kessingland followed by committal at Gorleston Crematorium on August 4 for Mr Stanley Frederick Lawrence of Kessingland who died on July 19, aged 93 years.

The Reverend Derek Cowie officiated.

Mourners were led in by the standards of the Royal Naval Association, The Royal British Legion, The Royal Marine Association and The Warspite Association also associate members.

Family mourners were: Miss J Lawrence (daughter), Mr and Mrs G Lawrence (son and daughter-in-law), Mr R Allen, Miss L Allen, Mr D Lawrence, Miss R Lawrence, Miss H Lawrence, Mr J Lawrence, Mr C Lawrence (grandchildren), Mr L Allen, Mr T Bealey, Miss S Ginn.

Unavoidably absent were: Mrs S McMahen (daughter), Miss M McMahen (grandaughter), Mr A McMahen (great grandson) USA, Mrs J Beaver (sister) and family, Miss D Lawrence (sister).

Thank you to the many friends who also attended too numerous to mention.

The family of the late Mr Stanley Frederick Lawrence wish to thank all relatives and friends for their many kind expressions of sympathy, the beautiful floral tributes and donations received. Our gratitude to all the staff at Beccles Memorial Hospital whose dedication gave dignity, care and compassion to Stan and the family in his last days. Special thanks to all family, friends and carers whose help and support over the years meant so much. The family would also like to thank all the Naval Association members, Rev Derek Cowie and Gordon and his staff at Livingstones.
