THE funeral service took place at St Andrew's Church, Lowestoft, followed by the burial at Lowestoft Cemetery on Monday, September 15 for Sidney Walter Mitchell of Lowestoft who died on September 4 aged 86.

THE funeral service took place at St Andrew's Church, Lowestoft, followed by the burial at Lowestoft Cemetery on Monday, September 15 for Sidney Walter Mitchell of Lowestoft who died on September 4 aged 86.

The Rev Mark McCaghrey officiated.

Immediate family mourners were, Robert and Marj (son and daughter-in-law), Joan and David (daughter and son-in-law), Christine and Richard (daughter and son-in-law), Richard and Julie (son and daughter-in-law), Emma, Rachel, Rebecca, Katrina, Fiona and Catherine (granddaughters), Elliot and Max (great grandsons).

Also in attendance were the many nephews, nieces, friends, work colleagues and neighbours; thank you for joining us to celebrate Dad's life and to say goodbye to him. We wish we could've spoken to you all but there were so many of you.

Unavoidably absent were: Ingrid and Mark, Natalie and James and Nick.

Funeral arrangements were by R Rivett Ltd, 15 Carlton Road, Lowestoft, NR33 0RU.

Sid's family wish to thank all relatives and friends for their kind expressions of sympathy, for the beautiful floral tributes and donations received. Donations for Cancer Research UK are still being accepted c/o R Rivett Ltd, 15 Carlton Road, Lowestoft, Suffolk, NR33 0RU.

Special thanks to: Doctors Aylward and Nettleton of Bridge Road Surgery, Jeremy Philpott, Rev Mark McCaghrey, Rivett's funeral directors for all their help and understanding, a special thank you from the rest of the family to Richard and Julie for all the care they have given to Dad over the last few months.

Will all please accept this as the only but most grateful acknowledgement.
