THE funeral service took place at Gorleston Crematorium for the William Bert Prettyman, of Silverwood Close, Pakefield who died peacefully in his sleep on September 9 aged 84.

THE funeral service took place at Gorleston Crematorium for the William Bert Prettyman, of Silverwood Close, Pakefield who died peacefully in his sleep on September 9 aged 84.

The Minister John Simpson officiated.

Family mourners were: Paul and Barbara Prettyman (Son and Daughter-in-Law), Leslie and Christine Prettyman (Son and Daughter-in-Law), David and Susannah Prettyman (Son and Daughter-in-Law), Faye Prettyman (Granddaughter), Carl Prettyman and Natalie (Grandson and partner), Louise Prettyman (Granddaughter).

Many other family members and friends also attended which included David and Bernard Prettyman (Nephews) from Milford Haven and members from the Royal Naval Patrol Service who provided the Standard as a tribute to a departed shipmate.

The family would like to thank all who attended and for their kind messages of sympathy and donations on behalf of Papworth Hospital Charitable Trust.
