THE funeral service took place at Kirkley Cemetery Chapel followed by the interment in the cemetery on Tuesday, November 18, for Elsie "Margaret" Hughes, of Lowestoft, who died on November 6, aged 81.

THE funeral service took place at Kirkley Cemetery Chapel followed by the interment in the cemetery on Tuesday, November 18, for Elsie “Margaret” Hughes, of Lowestoft, who died on November 6, aged 81.

Father David Girling officiated.

Mourners were, George and Jane Hughes (son and daughter-in-law), John and Lesley Hughes (son and daughter-in-law), Stephen and Marie Hughes (grandson and wife), baby Preston George (great grandson), Julie and Mark (granddaughter and partner), Emma and Rikki (granddaughter and husband), Erik and Edna (cousin), Arthur Goode, Rob and Steph Tozer, Jane Carter, Chas and Barry Freestone, David and Ann Cable, Nicky Gooderham, Charlie Wright, Debbie and Peter Yallop.

“Treasured memories of a dear mum, nan and great nan who will be dearly missed by all her family; always in our hearts forever; re-united with our dear dad.”

The family of the late Mrs Elsie “Margaret” Hughes would like to thank all relatives and friends for their many kind expressions of sympathy, for the beautiful floral tributes and for donations received. Special thanks to: Doctors and nurses on Ward 1 at James Paget Hospital also Sister Marian Bainbridge (district nurse), Father Girling for a lovely service and staff at Rivetts for their excellent funeral services, kindness and understanding.
