ST Mark's Church, Oulton Broad was filled to capacity for the funeral service which took place on Friday, August 14, followed by committal at Gorleston Crematorium, for Mrs Eileen Meadows, who died on August 1, aged 75.

ST Mark's Church, Oulton Broad was filled to capacity for the funeral service which took place on Friday, August 14, followed by committal at Gorleston Crematorium, for Mrs Eileen Meadows, who died on August 1, aged 75.

The Rev Ian Bentley and the Rev Marilyn Zipfel officiated.

Mourners were: Vince Meadows, Sarah Fox, Ian Meadows, Tom and Matthew Fox, Brian Grimson, Liz Lloyd, Ken and Hazel Walton, John Walton, Margaret, Philip, Christopher and Katy Hudson, Lazlo and Elizabeth Safrany, John Knowles, Paul Walton, Ann, Ellie, Hannah and Jessica Walton, Pat and Don Walter, Sylvia and Kevin Fox, Sue and John Cunningham, Ian and Mike Lloyd. Numerous friends also attended the service, too many to mention by name.

The family wish to thank all relatives and friends for their kind expressions of sympathy and donations for St Mark's Church Organ Fund and Waveney Sailability (all cheques payable to Critoph & Crowe Charity Account) which are still being accepted c/o Critoph & Crowe, 49-55 Lorne Park Road, Lowestoft, NR33 0RB.

Special thanks to Rev Ian Bentley and Rev Marilyn Zipfel who conducted the service so gently, sensitively and warmly; to Jill for the reading and to Alan for his wonderful playing; to the members of the choir who took the time to enhance the joyful singing; to Brian who quietly did all the little things that needed doing, and to everybody from St Mark's and St Luke's who came to celebrate a remarkable Christian life. And to the ladies who provided the wonderful spread and welcome to everyone in the church hall. To all those who attended or sent messages of sympathy, our heartfelt thanks.
