THE funeral service took place at Gunton St Peter's Church, on February 29, for Mrs Elizabeth Hartley Canham, of The Meads, Lowestoft, who died at home on Monday, February 18, aged 71.

THE funeral service took place at Gunton St Peter's Church, on February 29, for Mrs Elizabeth Hartley Canham, of The Meads, Lowestoft, who died at home on Monday, February 18, aged 71. The service was followed by committal at Gorleston Crematorium.

Family mourners were joined by many friends, filling the church to overflowing. Donations in memory of Liz, for Hospice at Home, are being accepted by Arthur Jary & Sons Ltd at 1 Golden Court, Oulton Broad, Lowestoft, NR32 3LU (please make cheques payable to JPUH NHS Foundation Trust).

Mel and Kevin would like to thank all relatives and friends for their letters, cards and messages of sympathy and support. Thanks also for donations received in lieu of formal tributes for Hospice at Home. Special thanks to Paul McDonough for his engaging and affectionate service and his wider support for the family. Thanks also to the organist, Marianne Long, the quartet from Waveney Sinfonia, everyone who helped with the refreshments and Maureen McGuire for the photographic tribute. Mel and Kevin wish to express their heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful, dedicated care that Liz received from the Hospice at Home team, Macmillan Palliative Care, community nurses, the Sandra Chapman Centre and Dr Davis. Finally, thanks to the staff at Arthur Jary & Sons Ltd, particularly Rosie, for funeral arrangements and help given.
