THE funeral service took place at All Saints and St Margaret's Church, Pakefield, on Tuesday, April 22, followed by burial in Kirkley Cemetery, for Gladys Victoria Jeffries, of Orme House, Lowestoft (formerly of Laxfield Way) who died on April 10, aged 89.
THE funeral service took place at All Saints and St Margaret's Church, Pakefield, on Tuesday, April 22, followed by burial in Kirkley Cemetery, for Gladys Victoria Jeffries, of Orme House, Lowestoft (formerly of Laxfield Way) who died on April 10, aged 89. Canon Bob Baker officiated.
Principal mourners were, Barry Jeffries (son), Graham and Catherine Jeffries (son and daughter-in-law), Harrison and Rory Jeffries (grandsons), Marlene Sayer (sister), Maurice and Beryl Bird (brother and sister-in-law), Munroe Bird (brother).
Other mourners were, Hilda Jeffries, Mr and Mrs Alf Taylor, Lorna White, Tracey Catchpole, Valerie Dalley, Mr and Mrs Alan Foreman, Julie Goodwyn, Mr and Mrs Peter Hansen, Hilary Harrison, Mr and Mrs John Jeffries, Christine McDaid, Janet O'Connell, Mr and Mrs William Spalding, Jane Tighe, Mr and Mrs David Woodruff, Mr and Mrs Michael Woodruff, Mr and Mrs Stephen Woodruff, Mr and Mrs Dennis Bidle, Vivian Burgess, Suzanne Chase, Mr and Mrs Patrick Connell, Bernard Cook, Mr and Mrs Peter Cunningham, Mr and Mrs Claude Dalley, Jane Henwood, Mr and Mrs William Leggitt, Chris Thompson, Brenda Woolley and Mr Alan Woolley.
Unable to attend were: Mrs Evelyn Parr, Mr Gordon Jeffries, Mrs Claire Willeard.
Floral Tributes were: For my darling mum, for always, forever, my love goes on beyond good bye, Barry. Forever in our thoughts, to a special mum and grandma, Graham, Cathy, Harrison and Rory. In loving memory of a special sister, to us you were so special, what more is there to say, except we wish with all our hearts that you were here today, from Marlene and Bob. Cherished memory Gladys, God put his arms around you and he laid you down to rest, God's garden must be beautiful, He only takes the best, with love from Munroe.
