THE funeral service took place at Gorleston Crematorium on October 5 of Mrs Julie Elsa Liffen of Pinewood Avenue, Lowestoft, who died at Addenbrookes Hospital on September 18 aged 54.

John Hemsley officiated.

The family wish to thank everyone, too numerous to mention who attended the funeral; the place was filled to capacity, a tribute for the love people had for Julie.

Floral tributes were: The day I said goodbye was the day that my soul died, no one can understand what I wouldn't give to hold your little hand, I love you Julie, John xxx. Dear mum, I will miss you, I will never forget what a great mum you were, you will be in my heart always and forever, lots of love Gav xxxx. I love you so much and always will, I can't believe I am saying goodbye, your life had been too short, the thought of you will keep me warm and in time make me smile, I miss you, sleep well mum, love Tanya xxx. Julia, from your loving mum, safe in God's keeping, love Maisie xx.

The family wishes to thank all relatives and friends for their expressions of sympathy, cards and donations received for the Dog Trust. Many thanks to Paul Goldsmith and the Suffolk special constabulary for the guard of honour, Julie would have been so proud.
