A PRIVATE committal took place at Gorleston Crematorium on July 30, followed by a service of thanksgiving at London Road South Baptist Church for Mrs Janet Whomes of Lowestoft who died on July 12, aged 61 years.

A PRIVATE committal took place at Gorleston Crematorium on July 30, followed by a service of thanksgiving at London Road South Baptist Church for Mrs Janet Whomes of Lowestoft who died on July 12, aged 61 years.

Rev John Smith officiated.

Main mourners were: Ivan Whomes, Debbie Whomes, Matt and Hannah Whomes, Terry and Anita Whomes, Roger and Doreen Whomes, Daniel Whomes, Lily Whomes, Val and Paul Wright, David Levett, Derek and Eileen Gower, John and Joy Whomes, Sally Grimes.

Unavoidably absent were: Anne and Trevor Gower, Juliet and Ben Kirman, Kevin and Sam Whomes, Sally Gower, Harry and Vi, and Pat.

Many other friends attended the service, too many to mention by name.

The family wish to thank all relatives and friends for their kind expressions of sympathy, beautiful floral tributes and donations for Cancer Research UK which are still being accepted c/o Critoph and Crowe, 49 to 55 Lorne Park Road, Lowestoft, NR33 0RB.
