THE funeral service took place at Gorleston Crematorium and St Edmunds Church, Southwold on Wednesday September 10 for Kathleen (Kath) Elizabeth Ellis (nee Davies) who died on August 31, aged 56.

THE funeral service took place at Gorleston Crematorium and St Edmunds Church, Southwold on Wednesday September 10 for Kathleen (Kath) Elizabeth Ellis (nee Davies) who died on August 31, aged 56. Home care team leader for Suffolk Social Services, Kath had previously worked at Stradbrook Court and Hillfields care homes, and had formerly been Brown Owl of First Wangford Brownies.

The Rev Robert Soanes and the Rev Caroline Hallett officiated.

Mourners were John Ellis (husband), Kathy and Calvin Roll (daughter and son-in-law), Sarah Ellis (daughter), Cedric Kaltenrieder, Callum and Ben Roll (grandsons), Bahia Ellis (granddaughter), Mabel Ellis (mother-in-law), siblings and their families, George and Denise Davies, Irene and George Kent, Vic and Lesley Davies, Christine and Barry Weaver, Bill Davies and Daphne Duffield, Glenda and Robert Clark, Mervyn Kent, Craig and Amanda Kent, Karen, Tony and Kayleigh Johnson, Floyd Finch, Ceri Evans, Roger Ellis, Peter, Ali, James and Lucy Ellis.

Thanks to the following ladies for their help and support through the many long months of Kath's illness, Zel, Sue, Maureen, Maureen, Maureen, Shelia, Marlene, Ali, Daphne, Pat, Helen and Sharon. Thanks to Kath's own team of special carers from the wonderful care they provided to the end. Thank you Zel, Ann, Mary, Margaret, Elsie and Linda.
