THE funeral service took place at United Reformed Church, Lowestoft followed by committal at Gorleston Crematorium on Monday, November 17 for Lorna Cook, of Lowestoft, who died on November 2, aged 86.

The Rev Ian Fosten officiated.

Unable to attend were: Nicola Edwards, Lesley Smith, Sharon Cook, Yvonne Heaster. Many other friends also attended too numerous to mention.

Floral Tributes were: A dearly loved mother. Mum, loved you lots, miss you always, in our hearts and thoughts you will stay, loved and remembered every day, night night God bless, Jennifer and Mervyn. It was a privilege to have cared for you, miss you so much all my love, Jonathan. In loving memory of a dear mum with all our love, Tim and Simon. In loving remembrance of a dear grandma. A lovely lady who will be remembered with love and fond memories, Nick, Julie, Jonathan and Nichola. In loving memory of a dear nana. To a dearly loved nanny, thank you for all the special times, all our love, Amie and Matt. In loving remembrance of a dear great-grandma. To a dear great-grandma with all our love and kisses from all your great-grandchildren in Wales, Jessica, James, Emily and Lucy. In kind remembrance from Phyllis and Frank. In kind remembrance from Rosalind. In loving memory of a dear aunt; thinking of you all at this sad time with love from Simon, Sharon, Kyle and Dane.

Funeral arrangements were by R Rivett Ltd, 15 Carlton Road, Lowestoft, Suffolk, NR33 0RU.

The family of the late Mrs Lorna Cook wish to thank all relatives and friends for their many kind expressions of sympathy, beautiful floral tributes and donations received. Donations for Hospice at Home are still being accepted c/o R Rivett Ltd, 15 Carlton Road, Lowestoft, NR33 0RU.

Special thanks to Dr Lockyer of High Street Surgery, Bronwen Gosling and the team of district nurses for all their care and support to Lorna and her family, Hospice at Home who were a source of strength to Lorna during her illness, the Regency Care Agency who looked after Lorna during her time at Appletree Close and to Care-On-Call who cared for her at Gunton Drive. To Ann Scott and Steve, wardens at Appletree Close whose support and friendship Lorna enjoyed during her happy years spent there. To Rev Ian Fosten, a special message of love and thanks for the care and friendship shown to Lorna over the last eight years and especially so during her last illness, for his support and comfort to the family and for the beautiful and uplifting service, which gave such comfort to all her family and many friends. To the Royal Naval Patrol Service Association, to standard bearer Mr Alf Muffett and all the representatives of the Association, in honour of Lorna's service on HMS Europa. To Jayne and Peter of R Rivett Ltd for the funeral arrangements, which were handled with such dignity and respect. Would all please accept this as the only but most grateful acknowledgment.
