Murder trial jury sent home for weekend

THE jury in a murder trial of a building boss accused of running over his girlfriend's head in a Land Rover was sent home for the weekend yesterday after being unable to come to a decision.

THE jury in a murder trial of a building boss accused of running over his girlfriend's head in a Land Rover was sent home for the weekend yesterday after being unable to come to a decision.

Christopher Caunter, 36, from Hullbridge, in Essex, denies killing his girlfriend Deborah Townsend after part of her scalp was found on the A146 in Beccles in 2005.

The jury, which has been out for two days, will continue its deliberations at Ipswich Crown Court, on Monday.
