A Lowestoft-based care home has been recognised with a national nomination.

Harleston House, a dementia care home in Lowestoft, has been selected as a finalist in the prestigious National Dementia Care Awards 2017.

The home, based in Park Road, specialises in providing the highest quality care to people living with memory loss and has been rated ‘Outstanding’ for caring by the Care Quality Commission.

After being shortlised as a finalist for the ‘Dementia Care Home’ category of the awards, Sue Graham, home manager at Harleston House, said: “My staff work so hard and go above and beyond in everything they do, so for the home to be recognised for their amazing work is something to be proud of.”

Winners of the National Dementia Care Awards will be presented with their trophies by John Middleton at a gala night on Thursday, November 9 at Doncaster Racecourse to be attended by more than 400 guests.
