A care home in Oulton Broad is celebrating after triumphing at a national awards ceremony.
Broadlands, a residential care home in Borrow Road, won the dignity and respect care home of the year award at the National Care Awards.
The judges chose Broadlands because the team demonstrated how dignity and respect are central to the values, life and culture of the home leading to a happy, engaged and fulfilled resident life and experience.
Broadlands is owned and managed by Greensleeves Care and has been rated outstanding by the Care Quality Commission. Anne Maas, home manager at Broadlands, said: “We are delighted to have been so well recognised in the National Care Awards. Dignity and respect for residents and staff are part of our culture and foundation of all our work within the care home.”
Winners of the National Care Awards were presented with their trophies by comedian David Baddiel at a high profile event last month in London.
