Need for more toilets
I AGREE with G Jarvis's letter (July 3) concerning Lowestoft being a welcoming town to visitors, and with the air show soon to be upon us, I am writing to add my concerns about the lack of clean and accessible toilets in Lowestoft.

Saxon Road is closed and therefore not available to the hundreds of locals and tourists who enjoy a walk along the cliff path (and who now attend the annual Supporting Pakefield Show).
Wellington Road is also closed which is on the main stretch of the promenade. It is no good putting a sign on the toilets saying how many yards each way the nearest toilets are. If I am a mum with children spending a day on the beach I need a toilet which is near.
I appreciate that extra portable loos are brought in for the air show but there might be a need for less of these (and thus less of a cost) if the toilets we do have are open clean and usuable.
