New boundary proposal

I READ with interest the recent boundary change proposals to include Lowestoft into Norfolk.

I believe, having dealt with both Waveney District Council and Norfolk County Council as I have owned property in Lowestoft and now am living back in Norfolk, that the people have nothing to fear about the change of these boundaries.

I believe, having dealt with both Waveney District Council and Norfolk County Council as I have owned property in Lowestoft and now am living back in Norfolk, that the people have nothing to fear about the change of these boundaries.

As somebody who has campaigned for the people of Lowestoft to retain their birth right in land on the Denes, I believe they have been badly served in this respect in the past since Waveney District Council was formed in 1974 and their Town Council was disbanded and they should seriously consider now re-forming a Town Council and claiming back their remaining assets and running their own town before any redrawing of the boundaries.

For if they do not they will be an even smaller fish in a bigger pond and if they do not act now their land and property, including their beautiful Town Hall, may be lost forever I fear.
