THE leader of a troubled district council has confirmed his new cabinet team which reflects the strategic priorities of the authority.Waveney District Council's leader Mark Bee said: “The new structure is designed with one thing in mind - to reflect our strategic priorities and make this authority better equipped to deliver the very highest standard of services to residents and communities.

Waveney District Council's leader Mark Bee said: “The new structure is designed with one thing in mind - to reflect our strategic priorities and make this authority better equipped to deliver the very highest standard of services to residents and communities.

“Chief executive Stephen Baker is making the right changes at management level and it is my responsibility to get an able team of councillors in place to work closely with the senior management team and improve services.”

The following appointments have now been confirmed: leader Mark Bee; deputy leader Colin Law; community safety Mary Rudd; customer access Simon Tobin, Ken Sale the environment; health and wellbeing Stephen Ardley; Bruce Provan, housing; performance Chris Punt and regeneration Wendy Mawer.

The first meeting of the new Cabinet takes place tonight, Thursday, May 29.
