SUFFOLK Constabulary has launched a new scheme to make it easier for people with learning and communicating difficulties to report incidents of harassment and bullying.
To coincide with Learning Disability Week, the scheme, which is supported by MENCAP, ACE and Suffolk County Council, consists of a reporting form in an easy read format, an information leaflet for supporters and carers, a guide for victims and witnesses and posters raising awareness of the scheme.
Last week a pilot information session was held in Lowestoft regarding the scheme and further sessions are planned at other resource centres throughout the country during the next three months.
For more information on the scheme contact diversity officer Rod Flory on 01473 613744 or rod.flory@suffolk.pnn.police.uk
