A new coffee shop has started trading in Lowestoft – creating ten new jobs in the process.
The Starbucks store on London Road North was officially opened by mayor of Lowestoft Stephen Ardley yesterday morning (Thursday).
There were queues outside the store, opposite BHS, as the doors were opened – with many people keen to try the town's newest business.
The store will be open seven days a week and will be run by franchisee partner, K Beverage Ltd.
The American global coffee company and coffeehouse chain – which was founded in Seattle, Washington in 1971 – serves hot and cold beverages, with a range of coffee and teas on offer, along with pastries and snacks.
Alok Yadav, director at K Beverage Ltd said: 'We really pleased to be in the town and to see the reaction of the people.
'We want to be part of the community and to offer place where people can sit down and enjoy their morning coffee, evening coffees or a frappuccino in the summer time with kids.'
