A popular youth football league is holding a quiz night later this month.
The Norfolk and Suffolk Youth Football League has organised the quiz to raise funds for the Oesophago-Gastric Cancer department at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH).
The quiz will take place at Emerald Park, Gorleston on Friday, November 17. The quiz starts at 7pm, with teams of four sought. It costs £20 per team and includes a hot dog and chips supper. Proceeds from the event will go to the department, which is rated as one of the top in the UK for treating Oesophago-Gastric Cancer. The hospital charity and the initiative has been backed by former Northern Ireland international footballer and Norwich City Academy Director Sammy Morgan, after he was treated at the department when he was diagnosed with stomach cancer in 2014.
