The sporting success has continued for students at a Lowestoft high school.

After Ormiston Denes Academy (ODA) had triumphed in the boys and girls contests of the annual north Suffolk school sports U15 handball competition on Tuesday, they made it a hat trick of wins by triumphing in the regional PD Boccia tournament yesterday (Thursday).

Four students from the academy in Yarmouth Road – Stephanie Sullivan, Tia Finnegan-Burns, Harry Jillings and Keane Parker – took part in the north Suffolk school sports east region boccia contest at The Ashley School Academy Trust. Boccia is a disability sport that tests muscle control and accuracy, with players required to bowl balls to land close to a target ball. Rebecca Martin, from ODA, said: 'Congratulations to Stephanie, Tia, Harry and Keane, who worked brilliantly as a team and won the regional championships and are through to the nationals.'
