A series of events have helped to raise funds for battling baby Oscar Crane-Rawlinson.

The 10-month-old baby is now back home in Lowestoft to continue his recovery after enduring numerous operations and setbacks after a cancerous tumour had to be removed from his head.

On July 7, the Team Lauren Lou cancer fundraising group held a street collection and music event where local singers sang all day. A tombola boosted the total raised to £949.13. A further £521.68 was raised on the Tuesday before, during a collection at Tesco Metro in Lowestoft town centre, meaning a total of £1470.81 has been raised.

Gary Bennett, of Team Lauren Lou, said: 'Thank you to all concerned – the kind volunteers, donating public, singers and all who helped me organise this. In particular Suzanne Chapman who organised the singers, provided the equipment and compered the day and thanks to Nelly Oakley for organising the volunteers.'
