St Mark's Church - St Mark's Church, Bridge Road will be holding a service of holy communion at 10.10am on Sunday. At 5pm members of St Mark's and St Luke's are invited to join in the hospital service at the James Paget. Midweek services at St Mark's are on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday at 9.30am for morning prayer and holy communion at 9.30am on Wednesday.
Broadland events - The Friends of Broadlands residential home in Borrow Road have two big events coming up shortly. Firstly, on Saturday June 20 is the popular teddy bear's picnic from 2 to 4pm when children are invited to bring their bears and let them slide down the zip wire in a basket - great fun! There will also be games, face painting and other attractions including enjoying the lovely broadside gardens. Adults admitted free and children pay �2 which includes a picnic box. Strawberry teas (�3.50) will also be served. On Saturday, July 18 there is the return of Rollercoaster, the popular local group who will be playing in the grounds in the evening from 7.30pm, tickets �5, with dancing to 50s and 60s music. Tickets for both events are now on sale from Broadlands reception or by telephoning 512895.
