The Art Circle invited Charles Evans to demonstrate an oil landscape painting on April 16. Charles is one of the country's most well known demonstrators. As well as being on TV, he makes videos, holds painting holidays, writes articles in art magazines and travels all over the country demonstrating for Daler-Rowney.

He completed two accomplished pictures during the evening and engaged his audience by interspersing his painting skills with jokes and amusing stories. He had an unusual technique. He wore thin plastic gloves and used his fingers and a towelling cloth to manipulate the paint on the canvas, telling the group the exact colours he used. He left the paintings for the club to raffle at the next meeting.
