The Art Circle listened and watched Andrew Pitt give a talk and demonstration on pen and wash painting. His subject was Carlton Marshes where members will be working in a few week's time. He sprayed his watercolours with water and closed the lid to moisten them while he drew in the picture with Indian ink. He used a broken matchstick pushed into a clutch pencil holder to give painterly thick and thin lines and poured ink into the cap so that it was easier to see how much was on the pen. Andrew was thanked by Marie Bond. The circle was reminded that the next meeting is the president's evening.
