Jean Pattinson opened the July meeting. There were several apologies. Group reports arts and crafts keeping busy, social studies meeting in the park while weather is good. Strollers enjoying evening and daytime walks.

The speaker was Rob Stephens on police firearms in Suffolk. Suffolk is one of the safest places in the country regarding offences. Intense training is given to police firearms units. Armed response units are manned 24 hours a day everyday.

August meeting is a barbecue organised by Wendy Slaney and Pat O'Connell at Wendy's home.
