Parishioners are asked to note the various special events advertised on the church notice boards and sign up for visits where appropriate. There are two minibus trips advertised in early September - one on Saturday, August 5 to the LIFE East Anglia Tea Party at Poringland travelling via Broadland and the other on Sunday, September 6 to the Dowry of Mary Pilgrimage at Walsingham. Our two churches will be open for cyclists to register in the annual Suffolk Historic Churches Trust Sponsored Bicycle Ride from 10 am to 5 pm on Saturday, September 12. The �25 winners of the last four weeks' Knights of St Columba (KSC) Good Causes draw were Beryl Lark, Tom Kirwan, Helen Selvage and Don Blakeman. A donation will be made from this good causes fund to the work of the Lowestoft Lifeboat at the annual autumn gala evening being organised by the KSC at the Wherry Hotel on Sunday evening, September 27. Posters and booking sheets for this event are posted on the notice boards and guests from the lifeboat community are being invited.
