Beach huts broken into with stoves, clocks and other items stolen

Several beach huts were broken into with camping stoves, clocks and binoculars among items stolen from within.

Suffolk Police were called about 6.40am on Monday, October 1, to reports of numerous beach huts - understood to be around 10 - being broken into.

The huts, near the Jolly Sailors in Pakefield, near Lowestoft, had been forced open with items stolen from within.

Among the items stolen from the beach huts included a clock, a camping stove, a kettle, a radio controlled clock, a two burner stove, binoculars, a bag, tea and food and drink items.

A police spokesman said: “Anybody with any information or who witnessed the incident should call Lowestoft Police on 101 and quote CADs 112, 168, and 308.

“Alternatively, you can contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
