Church Services - Sunday, April 26: 8am holy communion, 10.30am morning worship, 6.30pm evening prayer. Wednesday, April 29: 10am holy communion.

Councillor Surgery - County Councillor Roger Bellham will be in the Church Hall, Sunningdale Avenue, on Saturday, May 25 from 10am to 12 noon to discuss any issues with Pakefield residents.

Mothers' Union - The meeting on the May 15 was a talk given by Trudie Jackson entitled Tales of Old Pakefield. Trudie set the scene of a life in a rural village with its own blacksmith, illustrated by pictures. The next meeting will be on Thursday, May 21-Mercy Ships.

Teddy Edward Club - The club meets again at the church on Wednesday, May 6, a Mothers' Union project for 0-5 year olds, all welcome with accompanying adult. May 16 - Plant sale with additional stalls, 10am to 12 noon. Refreshments.

Pakefield Wives' Group - April 15 saw the return of Vince Meadows, this time with his Rotarian hat on, talking about Sailing with the Disabled. In the summer, volunteers meet to sail with or supervise loan sailors on Oulton Broad. Within less than three years of this project being put forward, it was up and running after tremendous efforts to get it off the ground. As their website proclaims, Waveney Sailability is a Trust which has been set up by volunteers with help from local Rotary Clubs to enable those with disabilities to enjoy the challenge of a physical activity in a safe and friendly environment by providing support, training and equipment. Margaret H presented Vince with a donation for this worthy cause. The group meets every other Wednesday in the Church Hall at 8pm, all welcome with refreshments. Next meeting: April 29 - Work of Mercy Ships a talk by Mr and Mrs Carter.

Christian Aid Week: A coffee morning is being held in the Church Hall, Sunningdale Avenue, for Christian Aid on Saturday, May 9 from 10 to 12 noon. Refreshments, cakes, gift, books and a raffle. We look forward to your support. A big thank you for your support at the Asthma UK coffee morning held in the church hall on Saturday, April 18. The grand sum of £588 was raised with £162 in donations.
